For 18 years, Student Monitor has surveyed college students to find out what was the most popular aspect of the college experience. For 16 of those years, the answer was consistently "beer." In 1997, the Internet pushed the popular beverage out of the way for the number one spot, but the very next year beer was king again. Until 2006- this March, the iPod came in as the most popular thing in the college circles. Beer did come in second, but tied with www.facebook.com- a social networking site for college students. Seems as though modern computer technology is surpassing popularity levels of traditional college excess... |
